Michał Bierzało is back in Wisła Kraków

Michał Bierzało returns to Reymont after ten years! The player has signed a one-year contract with the Kraków club with the option to extend it for another season and will soon join the White Star's second team.

29-year-old Michał Bierzało took his first steps in football at the club on Reymonta Street, where he honed his skills playing for Wisła's youth teams. In 2014, he represented Wisła, winning the Polish Championship with the junior team, and has also played for the White Star's reserves. In March 2015, he joined Limanovia, but his time there was short-lived. The following season, he moved to second-division Stal Mielec, with whom he later won promotion to the next division. Michał Bierzało also played for GKS Bełchatów, Siarka Tarnobrzeg, and Elana Toruń. In 2020, he returned to the Tarnobrzeg club, where he played for the following years. He played a total of 121 league matches with the Tarnobrzeg team, including 46 in the second division and 75 in the third division, group IV, scoring 9 goals. In the 2021/22 season, together with the Siarka team, he won promotion to the second league.

New challenges

In the coming months, the defender will be competing in the third division, supporting the team led by coach Bartosz Bąk. The player himself admits that the opportunity to return to Reymont is a special occasion for him.

"I received a signal from the Academy that there was interest in signing me, which made me very happy. I admit that I always had the thought of wanting to return in the back of my mind, so when the offer came up, I decided to take it. I'm glad we managed to finalize all the formalities and I can be a Wisła player again," he said.

Michał Bierzało is now one of the oldest and most experienced players in the second team. He has numerous appearances in the third and second divisions under his belt, and his attitude will serve as a motivator for younger players taking their first steps in senior football.

"I'll be one of the oldest players in the reserve team, but that doesn't bother me at all, as it was similar at my previous club. I hope that with my experience competing in the third division, I'll be able to support my younger teammates, and with my good play, influence the team and contribute to victories. I won't deny that I want to constantly develop myself, and I believe that together with the Wisła team, we will achieve the highest goals," Bierzało continued.

Fight for dreams

The defender represented the White Star for several years, but never had the opportunity to officially debut for the first team. Will he aim to play in the top league upon his return?

"Every player, regardless of age, works hard and fights to fulfill their football dreams. I believe that as reserve team players, we should strive to get the chance to showcase our skills in the first team, and that should be one of our goals. I will also do everything in my power to make my debut under Kazimierz Moskal. Will it be possible? Time will tell," the player stated.

The footballer honed his skills at Reymonta Street and successfully competed in numerous tournaments and league matches. One of his greatest achievements with Wisła was winning the Polish Junior Championship in 2014.

"I'm coming back here after 10 years and this is a special moment for me. I have a lot of great memories associated with this club, but one of the best is definitely winning the Polish Junior Championship," he concluded.

Congratulations and welcome back!
