Mariusz Jop after #BBTWIS: We feel very dissatisfied after this match

The Bruk-Bet Termalica vs. Wisła Kraków match failed to produce a winner, despite the Kraków team fighting for all three points on difficult terrain until the final minutes. After the final whistle, Mariusz Jop answered journalists' questions.

"My players and I are definitely dissatisfied after this match. I think we were the better team, created more chances, and looked significantly better in practically every statistic. We're definitely dissatisfied. In terms of our commitment, our desire to win, it was clearly visible. We lost twice, we were chasing the result twice. It's not easy, but the team did it. We also had our chances later on. And I think for our opponents—it was obvious from the very beginning—a draw is something they're happy with. They tried to stall for time in the second half, to throw us off our rhythm. Besides, they tried to do that in the first half. Every opening took a very long time. It's a familiar situation when you set up for a short pass and then chase your defenders away. It's always a minute. This is something that's standard in games against us. Here, it wasn't much different from what other teams did, those at the bottom of the table. And it wasn't just on the pitch that our opponents tried to make things difficult for us. Today we couldn't record with the tactical camera. From the position where all teams do it. Here, Rafał Wisłocki didn't agree to it. This despite the television giving him permission. You use various tricks to win. And that's one of the ways to make your opponent's job harder. That was the case today. For my part, I wanted to congratulate the team on their lead in this match, despite everything. It's a shame it ended in a draw. That's a two-point loss for us." - this is how Mariusz Jop summed up the match.

Two goals conceded because of two mistakes - did you analyze it quickly? "It's true that it was a mistake in our build-up play. However, we repeatedly played from a low defense, building up these attacks with multiple passes, and created opportunities in front of the opponent's goal. We don't intend to change that, because that's our philosophy. Of course, we have to avoid such mistakes, because it was too easy a turnover, too imprecise a pass in our own penalty area. I believe we have the quality to play short of goal, and we do it repeatedly. We do it effectively. There was a moment today when we conceded a goal. That happens very rarely, but it did today. That doesn't mean we'll turn everything upside down and just kick the ball forward. We don't want to do that. However, it does require our prudence, assessing the situation, whether to do it or not at a given moment. It's always the players' decision." - he replied.

In the 29th minute, Letkiewicz made a costly error in his play - his pass to Poletanović was too short and the ball ended up right at the feet of Ambrosiewicz. "Individual mistakes happen. That's the nature of youth. Sometimes there's a brilliant save, and sometimes there are simple mistakes. We know this, having a young goalkeeper. Sometimes such situations happen." - he said.

The division of points almost completely eliminates White Star's chances of direct promotion. "The chances are slim, and they were slim before this round, so nothing has changed in our way of working, in our attitude. We want to win every match. Now we have a difficult home match against Wisła Płock. We'll do everything to win this match and win the next ones as well. That's our goal, and we'll see what happens at the end of the season, where we'll be." - concluded Mariusz Jop.
