Marko Poletanović returns to R22!
Defensive midfielder Marko Poletanović has signed a permanent transfer from FK Vojvodina to Wisła Kraków. His contract runs until June 30, 2026.
Marko Poletanović was born on July 20, 1993, in Novi Sad, where he began his football career with FK Vojvodina. There, he rose through the ranks, playing in various age groups, joining the senior team in 2011. Along with his teammates, he won the Serbian Cup in the 2013/2014 season, his first success.
At the beginning of 2015, the midfielder moved to KAA Gent, winning the Belgian Championship six months later. In the following years, he added to his resume with appearances for clubs such as SV Zulte Waregem, FK Crvena Zvezda, and FK Tosno, with whom he won the Belgian Cup.
September 2018 brought Poletanović to Poland, specifically Białystok. At Jagiellonia, he recorded 39 matches, two goals, and eight assists. His next stop was Raków Częstochowa, where he won the Polish runner-up title, the Polish Cup, and the Polish Super Cup. This wasn't the end of his Polish career. At the end of February 2022, he moved to Reymont, and six months later to Zagłębie Lubin. In June 2024, history came full circle, and the player rejoined his parent club, FK Vojvodina.
