#WPŁWIS match without the participation of visiting fans
White Star fans will also not travel to Płock for the match. A statement issued by the hosts states that the club's management has decided not to accept an organized group of Wisła Kraków fans.
In the information on the club’s website, Wisła Płock referred to the provisions of resolution no. II/85 of 20 February 2013 of the Management Board of the Polish Football Association on the rules for the participation of visiting team fans in football matches during central-level competitions organised by the Polish Football Association.
On this basis, the host club has the right not to accept an organised group of fans of the visiting club in particularly justified cases, when there are real and documented indications of a possible threat to the safety of the participants or the course of the match.
The hosts consider the incident in Radłów, which took place on August 5, 2023, to be the aforementioned reasons. The statement reads: "During a tournament for Unia Tarnów fans, a tragic incident occurred involving, among others, Wisła Kraków fans, during which a fan of another team was killed. In our opinion, the participation of an organized group of Wisła Kraków fans during the mass event scheduled for April 13, 2024, may pose a real threat to the safety of event participants. Therefore, the Management Board of Wisła Płock SA is forced to make the above decision."
Wisła Kraków has not received any letter on this matter.
