Mariusz Jop after the friendly match against Mladost Lucani: We are happy with this match

Coach Mariusz Jop emphasized that the execution of training goals and physical fitness were more important than the result during the friendly. The coach also addressed the players' health and positively assessed the transfer moves, including the addition of Jordi Sanchez.

"The result wasn't the most important thing today. The important things were the elements we worked on, namely high pressing and building attacks. I think that in terms of motor skills, it was also a valuable match. Of course, it's not yet where we wanted to be in terms of the fluidity of the game and understanding between us. We also have players who joined us from the reserves, and they need to get used to what we expect from them. Overall, we're happy with the match," coach Jop concluded.

Bozić's health situation

"We don't know. He went for extended tests. We hope it's nothing serious," commented the White Star coach.

The second half was a bit weaker offensively.

"As I mentioned, in the second half of the match, we had two players on the pitch who normally play for Wisła's second team. I'm referring to Szywacz and Ziarko. There were a few substitutions. We wanted the teams to be evenly matched in both halves. This is a time when we focus on the motor aspects. Besides, we don't know the opponent well enough to judge which half they theoretically had the better lineup in. Perhaps in the second 45 minutes, they had a better lineup. At least it seemed that way, a few players had better individual skills. I agree that there was less fluidity in our play. There were a few too many simple losses in the buildup, we were too slow. There's still time to work on that. It also has to be said that we played against a team that finished the season quite late, on December 20th. They only had a 12-day break and are starting a week before the first league, so they are definitely at a different stage of preparation," the coach summarized the on-field events.

The situation with Wiktor Biedrzycki.

"Wiktor will be ready for Saturday's sparring," he assured.

Could Staszak's transfer pay off in the future?

"Of course! Wiktor is a young player. There was an opportunity to go and spend the next six months in Italy. I think it makes sense. He will definitely play at a higher level than in the third division. Here, he had few minutes due to the intense competition in midfield. We hope this will be a time for him to develop," he commented on the transfer move.

New transfer move - Jordi Sanchez.

"Most fans probably remember the player playing for Widzew Łódź. He had a good spell there. He's a player who's fast, tall, and good in the air – the profile we talked about. I'm glad he's joining us. He'll give us more options tactically. He'll also bring experience on the pitch, which will be an added value," concluded coach Mariusz Jop with conviction.
