Letkiewicz: Each of us must be one hundred percent prepared

Wisła Kraków played another league match on Monday evening. This time, coach Mariusz Jop's team faced GKS Tychy. The match ended goalless, with the two teams splitting the points. After the match, we asked Wisła Kraków goalkeeper Patryk Letkiewicz for a comment.

Wisła Kraków's young goalkeeper was one of the team's bright spots in Monday's match, but he admits he's not entirely satisfied with the final result. "There's definitely a sense of dissatisfaction after the match. We're angry with ourselves for not getting the three points, especially since we were playing in front of our home crowd," he began, adding: "But I think we have to respect that point because we didn't create many clear-cut chances in that match. We have another match ahead of us now, and that's what we need to focus on."

Patryk Letkiewicz, however, couldn't complain about being underworked. Did he expect this turn of events? "It doesn't matter whether we're playing against the top or bottom team in the table. Each of us must always be 100 percent prepared. On the one hand, I didn't expect to have so much work to do in this match, but on the other hand, I was ready for it," he noted.

During the match against GKS Wisła Kraków, they failed to find the net even once. Where does this sinusoidal pattern in Kraków's play come from? "I think it affected the entire team; we weren't able to score, but we'll all win, just as we'll all draw. I can't say right away why there's such a difference in play; we have to analyze it calmly. We need to draw conclusions in the coming days and focus on the next match to play our best. I don't want to throw words to the wind; we need to sit down and think about what went wrong," he analyzed. "The opponents certainly defended well, but I think we also didn't feel very confident in our positional attack. We lacked that final touch," he continued.

Finally, Patryk also commented on the Polish Cup draw. Wisła Kraków will face Polonia Warsaw this time. "We wanted to draw the best team possible to show our quality, but we're not judging whether we've drawn one team or another. We have a match ahead of us, and we want to win," he concluded.
