15-year-old Michał Pałka signed a professional contract
Fifteen-year-old Michał Pałka has committed his future to the White Star, signing his first professional contract with the club. The CLJ U-15 midfielder will represent Wisła Kraków until at least June 30, 2027.
Born on April 13, 2009, Michał Pałka began his football career at the "Mam Talent" Limanowa Football Academy, where he honed his skills in the junior and junior categories until 2019. He then moved to local club Limanovia, where he played for the youth and junior teams for just under four seasons. In 2022, Pałka joined Wisła Kraków, and a year later made his debut in the Central Junior League with the U-15 team, where he is currently a key player. The 15-year-old has made 15 appearances this season, scoring 11 goals and becoming the top scorer in the autumn season.
Fulfillment of dreams and great ambition
The 15-year-old player described his feelings at that special moment. For a young player, signing his first professional contract with the White Star is a dream come true. Michał Pałka describes this moment as the first step on the road to realizing another dream: becoming a professional footballer. "I'm incredibly happy, very excited, and above all, grateful for the opportunity I've been given. I want to make the most of it. This contract is a great motivation and impetus for me to continue working. I've been at the club for less than two years and I know it's the right place for me to develop. I believe this moment opens the door to great football. I've dreamed of becoming a professional footballer since childhood, and this contract is the first step towards fulfilling it. I want to thank my parents and brother for the great support they always give me. I'm currently returning to play after an injury that kept me out of action for three months. I recently returned to the pitch full-time and I'm feeling better and better," Pałka said.
Michał Pałka recalls his early days with the Wawel-based team. The U-15 player also spoke about his development so far and about his team. The young Wisła player revealed the team and individual goals he strives for. "My early days with the team weren't easy. However, I've always been very ambitious and strived for the highest goals. Since becoming a Wisła player, I've been working very hard, which has significantly accelerated my development. I'd love to help the U-15 team get back on track. We're constantly learning from our performances so far, and we know everything will go in the right direction. As for my individual goals, they certainly include being called up to the U-17 team and the Polish national team. I will constantly do my part to make all of these come true," concluded the young Wisła player.
A Coach's Perspective
Krystian Żakowicz, head coach of the CLJ U-15 team, briefly spoke to us about his player, highlighting his strengths. Like the player, the coach stated that he has made significant progress and continues to strive to improve. "Michał joined us when he was in the U-14s, although he regularly traveled with us to U-13 Interleague competitions, so this connection has been developing for some time. He is definitely a player who stands out for his courage in play, his willingness to try one-on-one play, and his frequent dribbling. Michał is a player we've been wanting to sign for a long time, and he ultimately chose us, which we're very happy about. It wasn't the easiest start for him, but later, his ambition and desire to improve led to significant progress, and he was the top scorer last fall," said Krystian Żakowicz, head coach of the CLJ U-15 team, about his player.
Michał, congratulations and good luck!
