A page from the Wisła calendar 15 years ago - on November 4, 2009 - Stanisław Flanek died, then the doyen of Wisła football, a defender of the White Star in the years 1945-54.

He played 165 matches for Wisła, scoring his only goal in his final appearance. He won the Polish championship in 1949 and 1950, and the league title in 1951. He also made eight appearances for the Polish national team.
