A page from the Wisła calendar: Mieczysław "Messu" Gracz ended his career 71 years ago
71 years ago – on August 15, 1953 – Mieczysław Gracz played the last match of his career. The legendary Wisła striker appeared in 163 official matches between 1935 and 1953, scoring 133 goals. His best years were robbed by World War II, but Gracz won the Polish Championship twice with Wisła and also made 22 appearances for the national team.
