Wieliczka Salt Mine is a Partner of the 120th Anniversary of Wisła Kraków and a Patron of the Club's Culture
Wisła Kraków is proud to announce that the Wieliczka Salt Mine has joined the ranks of the Club's 120th Anniversary Partners, taking on the unique role of Wisła Kraków's Patron of Culture.
This partnership unites two institutions with an exceptionally rich history, deeply rooted in the traditions of Małopolska, and serving as hallmarks of the region – both in Poland and worldwide. The 120th anniversary of the White Star is a special moment, emphasizing the importance of history, identity, and generational continuity. These same values have also accompanied the Wieliczka Salt Mine for centuries, one of the most valuable monuments of material culture in Poland, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The role of the 120th Anniversary Partner is not only symbolic support for the anniversary, but also a genuine commitment to celebrating this special year for the Club. The collaboration will include promotional activities, a presence in anniversary communications, and joint initiatives aimed at fans, local residents, and tourists.
The partnership between Wisła Kraków and the Wieliczka Salt Mine also represents a shared mission to promote Małopolska as a place of exceptional cultural and sporting significance. Both brands serve as ambassadors for the region – one of the oldest salt mines in the world is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists annually, and Wisła Kraków has been building its legend on the football pitch since 1906.
Combining these two symbols is a natural step towards strengthening local identity and building bridges between sport, history and culture.

President of the Management Board of the Wieliczka Salt Mine:
The Wieliczka Salt Mine joins the celebrations of the 120th anniversary of Wisła Kraków – one of the most important and recognizable sports clubs in Poland.
We understand the importance of anniversaries, as the Wieliczka mine represents nearly 800 years of history, inextricably linked with the history of Poland, Lesser Poland and Kraków.
History and tradition build the identity of the region, creating a community of generations.
The Wieliczka Salt Mine, like Wisła Kraków, is a symbol of Małopolska – a place that has for centuries attracted people from around the world and built pride in the inhabitants of our region. Therefore, we are delighted to accept the role of Anniversary Partner and Patron of Culture of the Club. We believe that this partnership will not only support such an important event in Wisła's history, but also provide an opportunity for joint initiatives combining sport, culture, and the heritage of our region.
We are convinced that the cooperation of two institutions so deeply rooted in Małopolska will contribute to even more effective promotion of our region – both in Poland and abroad.”
