Another important step. On the road to Star Starachowice
After a long-awaited breakthrough, Wisła II Kraków players head into their next league match – this time away against Star Starachowice. The White Star has had a difficult start to the spring season, but a resounding 5-0 victory over Wiślany Skawina gave the team not only a full set of points but also a much-needed boost of confidence.
It was the first victory for Wisła's reserves under their new coach, with Radosław Skała, Szymon Kawała, Marcin Bartoń, Maciej Kuziemka, and Arkadiusz Ziarko all scoring. Unfortunately, the celebrations after the final whistle were marred by injuries to Bartosz Talar, Filip Baniowski, and Marcin Bartoń, who were forced to leave the field prematurely.
Wisła faces another test against Star Starachowice, who shared the points with Podlasie Biała Podlaska (1-1) in the previous round. The hosts of Saturday's match are in 7th place in the table with 42 points. Wisła II is in 12th place with 28 points, so any further victory could be crucial in the fight for a secure league position.
The Kraków team will be looking to push forward and secure another three points, but their well-disposed opponents will do everything they can to prevent them from doing so. Who will prove more effective in their efforts? We'll find out the answer tomorrow.
