Press conference before #WISKFL | Part 2
The second part of the press conference, as usual, was held with the visiting team. Coach Tahir Batata and player Ilir Krasniqui met with journalists and answered their questions.
Tahir Batata - coach of KF Llapi
"I'm very pleased to meet with Polish journalists and media associated with Wisła Kraków. I hope tomorrow's match, which is important for both teams, will be played in a pleasant atmosphere. It's a pure pleasure for us to play against such a renowned opponent. I hope my players will give their all," began Tahir Batata. "It will be a difficult match for us. We know about the changes that have taken place in Wisła Kraków's coaching staff. We have information, we have watched some of the matches, and we are prepared for this match. We have a very good season behind us in our league, but with all the changes at Wisła and in their coaching staff, I think it will be difficult," he added.
The atmosphere in the stands at R22 is set to be heated. Are the opponents prepared for a match with a large crowd? "Generally, I have no problem with the atmosphere that awaits us. We've played matches in front of twelve thousand spectators, so I say it won't be a problem for us. I've worked a lot with my players psychologically. That's why I repeat – I have no problem with it. My players have played in Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League matches. I have players in my squad who represent Kosovo. Even if 60,000 spectators come here instead of 30,000, it won't be a problem for us," he noted.
When asked about the favorite, the KF Llapi coach replied: "In my opinion, there is no favorite in this match. Wisła won the national cup and is a solid and strong team. We finished second in Kosovo, but we fought for the championship until the end. That's why I think the chances are 50/50. We represent the Kosovo Ekstraklasa, Wisła is a representative of the second tier in Poland. That's why I mean it when I say there is no favorite in this match." "We worked hard to prepare for the match. It's important that we perform at our best because we want to show how football is developing in Kosovo. We have a very good team, we have a good budget. Despite the small stadium capacity, we have very good infrastructure. We created this together with the officials. In our talks with them, I told them that we will try to perform at our best. This is our third time playing in European competition, but this is something bigger. We are not afraid and are even thinking about the group stage," he continued.
What kind of playing style can we expect from the Kosovo players? "We always play offensively, even very offensively. Of course, sometimes it depends on how the match goes. Generally, however, my players have to play offensively, and it doesn't matter whether we're playing at home or away," he announced.
Ilir Krasniqu - KF Llapi player
"I was with the team when I found out who we were playing against. The first feeling was positive. Later, we learned that we were dealing with a renowned team with a history of its own. A team with a very passionate atmosphere at the stadium. The fans know how to create it, which is why it feels so good to play here," he noted.
"I know Wisła is a team with a rich history. We analyzed their opponents and how each player plays. We know they are dangerous, but we are ready to face them," he assured.
