The wait is over! The Betclic III League is starting!
Wisła Kraków's second team will begin their Betclic 3rd League campaign on Saturday. Wisła Kraków's first opponent will be KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. The match will take place at Prądniczanka Stadium, with the referee's first whistle scheduled for 12:00 noon.
As part of their preparations for the fall round of the third-division competition, coach Bartosz Bąk's team played three friendly matches. Wisła's opponents were Rekord Bielsko-Biała (0-2), Górnik II Zabrze (6-1), and Lubań Maniowy (5-2).
On Saturday, however, we'll see a real test of the White Star's form in the league. KSZO is a solid team, finishing eighth in the league table last season.
New-old faces in the team
During the pre-season, several new players joined the team, including Filip Gryglak (Wisła II Płock), Patryk Moskiewicz (Garbarnia Kraków), Piotr Zagórowski (Garbarnia Kraków), and Sławomir Chmiel (Hutnik Kraków). Defender Arkadiusz Ziarko also returned from his loan spell at Stal Stalowa Wola.
The last four have had the opportunity to play with the White Star on their chests in the past, and they return to the club enriched with experience that will help them compete in the third league.
A rival familiar with the league realities
KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski has been playing in the third division continuously since the 2013/2014 season. Experience in the competition will therefore speak in favor of the visiting team, but Wisła will not give up and will fight for their first points of the new season.
All fans are invited to the Prądniczanki stadium at 5 St. Andrzeja Boboli Street on Saturday noon. The referee's first whistle will sound at 12:00 noon. Admission is free.
The match will also be broadcast on the CFsport YouTube channel.
