Kazimierz Moskal returns to R22 as a coach!
Kazimierz Moskal takes over as Wisła Kraków's head coach, returning to the R22 team after nine years. His contract runs until June 30, 2026.
Kazimierz Moskal was born on January 9, 1967, and although he grew up at Gościbia Sułkowice, Wisła Kraków became his second home. At R22, he entered adult football, progressing through the ranks and becoming a key figure for the White Star. He made his first-team debut for the blue, white, and red team on June 8, 1985, against Górnik Zabrze. Although he parted ways with Wisła, he returned as a player and later as a coach. He played a total of 289 matches for the team from Wawel, scoring 55 goals. With the White Star, he won the Polish championship twice, two Polish Cups, a Super Cup, and a League Cup.
He began his coaching career at R22, as an assistant, youth coach, and then as a full-time coach. He gained experience working alongside such names as Werner Liczka, Jerzy Engel, Tomasz Kulawik, Dan Petrescu, Dragomir Okuka, Adam Nawałka, and Robert Maaskant. He served as head coach in 2007, 2012, and 2015. Kazimierz Moskal is the last coach to lead Wisła Kraków in European competition. In 2011, under his leadership, the White Star advanced from their Europa League group stage, only to be eliminated in February 2012 after a close battle and two draws with Standard Liège in the round of 32.
Kazimierz Moskal’s coaching CV also includes clubs such as Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza, GKS Katowice, Pogoń Szczecin, Sandecja Nowy Sącz, Zagłębie Sosnowiec and ŁKS Łódź, with whom he was promoted to the Ekstraklasa twice.
Welcome back to R22 and good luck!
