24 years ago – on October 26, 2001 – Mauro Cantoro made his Wisła Kraków debut and scored his first goal. That day, the White Star defeated Zagłębie Lubin 4-3. It seemed Wisła had acquired a prolific goalscorer, as the Argentine added four goals in his next three appearances! However, the popular "El Toro" was later moved to midfield and became a mainstay in midfield for many years. Cantoro played 248 matches for Wisła and won five Polish Championships!
