Alfred Konkiewicz, a footballer for Wisła Kraków from 1910 to 1919, was born on April 18, 1893. He was a central midfielder and a member of the Kraków national team. Konkiewicz was also vice-president of the Sports Society, a professional officer, and a colonel in the Polish Army. He commanded the 70th Infantry Regiment during the September Campaign. He died in exile in 1953 and is buried in Wales.
