James Igbekeme joins Wisła Kraków

We're back! James Igbekeme will once again don the white star jersey, signing a contract with Wisła Kraków that runs until June 30, 2025.

James Igbekeme was born on July 4, 1995, in Lagos. His first club was Portuguese side GD Ribeirão, and he later represented UD Oliveirense and Gil Vicente FC.

In the 2018/2019 season, he swapped Portugal for Spain, moving to Real Zaragoza. He stayed there until January 2022, making 104 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 6 assists. His next stops were with the American side Columbus Crew and Wisła Kraków, where he joined on loan in February 2022. He played 14 matches for the R22 side, scoring 1 goal and assisting a teammate once.
After his temporary transfer expired, he once again headed to Spain – this time to SD Ponferradina. There, he made 32 appearances, contributing one goal and one assist.
