Jarosław Królewski elected Young Global Leader 2025 by the World Economic Forum

Jarosław Królewski has been selected as a Young Global Leader 2025 by the World Economic Forum! The World Economic Forum has announced the list of winners of the prestigious Young Global Leaders 2025 program. Among the honorees, Jarosław Królewski is the only Pole – president and co-founder of Synerise, owner and president of Wisła Kraków, and lecturer at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.

The Young Global Leaders program, run by the World Economic Forum, recognizes individuals under 39 (maximum 38 at the time of nomination) who are making an extraordinary impact on the world in their fields—from business and politics to science and technology. Each year, the WEF selects approximately 100 honorees from among thousands of nominees.

The Young Global Leader title is considered one of the most important and prestigious awards that can be received in the world before the age of 40, in both business, scientific and political circles.

This is also the first time in history that a Pole representing the technology (deep tech) and artificial intelligence sectors has been honored with a place in this elite group. The selection comes at a time of global tensions, growing geopolitical challenges, and the rapid development of AI-based tools. This is the first Polish representative since 2019 and one of only a few Poles in the program's 20-year history.

Each year, thousands of candidates from around the world are assessed according to stringent qualification criteria. Only the best are selected, with particular attention paid to ensuring diversity and representativeness of the pool. In the first stage, shortlisted candidates are evaluated by Heidrick & Struggles, recognized as a global leader in executive search. The final decision rests with the Selection Committee, which conducts a final review of the candidates.

Jarosław Królewski has been associated with the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków for 15 years, becoming one of the youngest lecturers in the university's history. He has participated in the creation and development of numerous degree programs, including those in the areas of artificial intelligence, data analysis, and digital business. He is also the author of two books published by PWN, including his latest, "ALGOCRACJA. How and Why Artificial Intelligence Changes Everything?"

Synerise, of which he is co-founder and CEO, is one of the most technologically advanced AI and Big Data companies in Europe, creating proprietary fundamental artificial intelligence models operating in the deep tech space. The Synerise platform makes over a billion autonomous decisions daily, supporting complex analytical and recommendation processes in real time. The company employs the most talented engineers and AI specialists from Poland and conducts intensive research and development activities.

Technologies developed by Synerise are also used in science – open source solutions such as Cleora are used in graph analysis, discovering connections between data, as well as in bioinformatics research and supporting the discovery of potential cancer drug alternatives (drug discovery).

In 2018, Jarosław Królewski was the originator and initiator of the first artificial intelligence teaching program in Poland for kindergartens, primary schools and high schools – a pioneering educational project that initiated a national debate on AI in the education system.

In 2019, Królewski participated in the rescue operation of Wisła Kraków – an iconic club, one of the oldest and most successful in Poland – saving it from collapse. He is currently leading its rebuilding process, which has resulted in, among other things, winning the Polish Cup in 2024 and qualifying for the European Cup qualifiers in the 2024/2025 season.

Jarosław Królewski has received numerous awards for his social, business, and scientific contributions, receiving distinctions from Google, Microsoft, Deloitte, EY, and the Financial Times, among others. He has been recognized both individually and with the organizations he co-founded, including for his contributions to technology, innovation, education, digitalization, and sustainable development.

In the 2025 edition, in addition to Jarosław Królewski, the Young Global Leaders program included, among others:
