Interleague: Three wins and a draw
On Friday, the Wisła Kraków U-12 and U-13 teams played their first round of Interleague matches in the 2024/2025 season. Both Wisła teams faced Czech teams Zbrojovka Brno and Sigma Olomouc.
The U-12 team recorded a win and a draw against their Czech counterparts. Coach Marcin Kordaszewski's players defeated Sigma 2-0 in Rosice and drew 2-2 with Zbrojovka.
"The players played brilliantly. In the first match, they created the game very well, creating many scoring opportunities in a variety of ways, practiced and unpredictable, which demonstrates their intelligence. In defense, we were organized and determined in winning the ball. We didn't give the opponent any significant chances for more dangerous situations. The match against Zbrojovka Brno was particularly difficult for us, as we had virtually no rest periods. The match script was quite predictable. An opponent with very good physical condition and very committed to playing with high pressing set the bar higher, which meant we had to be quicker and wiser in our decisions. In this match, we were leading 2-0, but as time went on and we lost strength, we focused more on defensive actions and defending the penalty area than on attacking play. This resulted in us conceding two goals, but it should be added that our team also did not slack in attack and created many clear-cut chances, which unfortunately did not lead to further goals. In summary: the team's attitude was impressive in both matches. The boys can be proud of themselves," concluded Daniel Marzec, assistant coach of the U-12 team.

The U-13 team competed in Brno, where they defeated their peers from Sigma 10-1, and after a tough match against Zbrojovka, they ultimately won 2-1.
"In the match against Sigma, we wanted to dominate from the start and take control of the match. We created a lot of chances, and while the first half was a bit lacking in efficiency, after a few adjustments at halftime, the second half was completely different, resulting in goals. As for the match against Zbrojovka, it was a much more difficult match. The opponent played very aggressively across the pitch, committing frequent fouls. We could have closed the match out much earlier, but we missed several clear-cut chances, and the match was quite tense until the very end," summed up Paweł Wasilewski, coach of the U-13 team.
