Interleague. Matches with Śląsk Wrocław and Zagłębie Sosnowiec

The U-12 and U-13 teams have had another clash in the international Interleague competition. This time, the young Wisła players faced their peers from Śląsk Wrocław and Zagłębie Sosnowiec.

The U-13 team, led by coach Paweł Wasilewski, faced Śląsk Wrocław in their first match, ending in a draw and a share of the points, with each side managing just one goal on target. Next came a fierce encounter with Zagłębie Sosnowiec, which was certainly not short on footballing excitement. The Śląsk team managed to beat the Wisła goalkeeper twice, but it was the Kraków team that enjoyed their triumph, winning 3-2. Both matches ended in convincing victories for the younger team. Marcin Kordaszewski's men defeated Śląsk 4-2, while in their match against Zagłębie, they put on a true spectacle for the fans, scoring a goal and ultimately thrashing their opponents 9-1.

"Summing up this tournament, it's certainly worth mentioning the difficult playing conditions, in terms of the pitch and temperature. We called up a large squad for the matches, and each of the boys rose to the challenge. In the match against Śląsk, in addition to the possession phase, the team showed excellent work without the ball, especially in the first half. The match against Zagłębie Sosnowiec was primarily a showcase of our team's offensive strengths, which we identified recurring elements of which we will want to work on," stated coach Marcin Kordaszewski.

"Regarding the match against Śląsk Wrocław, it was a game of missed opportunities. We created a lot of chances that should have led to goals, but we lacked a cool head and finishing, and we conceded a goal in the final action of the match. The match itself was of a high standard. In the match against Zagłębie, the fatigue of the boys was already visible. We made a lot of mistakes, the pace of play slowed, but the players deserve respect, as twice our opponent took the lead and we managed to make up for it and ultimately score for a 3-2 victory," said coach Paweł Wasilewski.
