Gogół: I didn't accept that we could lose

Wisła Kraków is playing on! Coach Kazimierz Moskal's side emerged victorious over Spartak Trnava in the two-legged tie, defeating their opponents in a lengthy penalty shootout. Patryk Gogół spoke about his post-match emotions.

"These penalty shootouts took a long time. Certainly, each of us approached them with great responsibility, because one mistake and it could have ended in a draw, but I believed that after a match like that, we would get some things back with those penalties, because we played a really good match, and I couldn't believe we could lose. These were my first penalties with such high stakes," Gogół began.

I'd love to see Wisła playing like they do in European competitions every week. How can I do that? "It's hard for me to answer that question unequivocally. We always try to play like we did against Spartak. Sometimes those matches are better, sometimes worse. We can only train and try to always play exactly the same way we did on Thursday," he said. "We took every match seriously and wanted to play our game. We've come this far, and we can be happy that we've managed to do it so far," he added.

The White Star team throws a real thrill at their fans, but thanks to their attitude, they can still compete on the international stage. "We play in Europe, and every footballer dreams of playing in European competitions. With a victory like we did against Spartak, we can only be happy that we can still represent our country in this competition and delight the fans," he stated.

The match against Spartak was incredibly exhausting for both teams, and a league match against Arka Gdynia is already on the horizon. However, the midfielder assured: "We definitely lost a lot of energy because we played extra time. But the most important thing is to recover properly and start fighting for all three points on Monday."
