A hail of goals in Pruszków: Znicz - Wisła 2:3
What excitement, what a match! From hell to heaven came the White Star's defeat, trailing 2-0 at halftime. However, after the break, they more than made up for lost time and ultimately won 3-2.
The first minute wasn't without controversy. After a pass into the Znicz penalty area, one of the home team's players handled the ball, but the referee ruled it wasn't a penalty. One hundred and eighty seconds later, the Pruszków team counterattacked and capitalized on their opportunity. It was 1-0 to the home team after a goal by Krystian Tabara.
Wisła refused to give up and quickly moved the game towards the home team's goal. However, the Yellow-Reds were effective in defense. Despite the White Star taking control of the game, no threat to Miłosz Mleczko's goal was forthcoming.
It wasn't until the 15th minute that Duda found Villar with a pass, but his opponent intervened. A corner kick went close again, but it ended with another corner. This time, Alan Uryga headed the ball accurately, but it hit the goalkeeper's gloves.
A promising 19th-minute Wisła counterattack was effectively stopped by their opponents. Two minutes later, it was 2-0 to MKS. Paweł Moskwik slotted the ball between the posts after a well-placed throw-in.
The final phase of the first half remained unchanged, and the Kraków team had no opportunity to close the gap. The belief remained that the second half would bring a different face to the R22 team.
For the second half, coach Rude brought in new players: David Junca and Michał Żyro. The start of the match was similar to the opening minutes. This time, too, the referee ruled there was no handball.
Wisła started the second half aggressively, pressing their opponents. However, attempts from both the play-action and set pieces failed to find the back of the net. It wasn't until the 52nd minute, when Michał Żyro converted a cross from the left flank, that Wisła regained control of the game.
Moments later, it could have been 2-2 when Michał Żyro could have scored again. This time, the Pruszków goalkeeper beat him to the goal. Duda responded with a sacrificial save in front of his own goal, only to be injured in the clash.
The 66th minute saw another attempt from Żyro. The striker struck a half-volley, but again it was off target. This didn't mean Wisła were going to give up. Quite the opposite: the Kraków team pressed their opponents, maintaining possession and pushing their way into the Znicz penalty area. Their efforts paid off in the 69th minute when captain Alan Uryga slotted the ball into the net from a set piece. David Junca also provided the assist.
The White Star continued to attack. In the 76th minute, the referee called for a handball, awarding Wisła a penalty. Angel Rodado stepped up to give his team the lead! But the fight wasn't over.
The final part of the clash in Mazovia saw a lot of midfield action. No more goals were scored, and the three points went to Kraków!
