Filip Kowalski with his first contract
Filip Kowalski has signed his first professional contract with Wisła Kraków. The 17-year-old midfielder signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2026.
Born on June 18, 2006, Filip Kowalski took his first steps in football with nearby Górnik Wieliczka. The young midfielder played for teams ranging from the Orlik league to the Trampoline league. He joined Wisła Kraków in 2020 and began playing for the CLJ U-15 team. Kowalski's first season with the White Star was undoubtedly a success, scoring 24 goals in 30 matches. He then progressed through the age groups and is currently a member of the CLJ U-19 team. Furthermore, before the start of the current season, he was included in the reactivated Wisła Kraków reserve team. In mid-November, in the 14th round of the CLJ U-19 against Lech Poznań, he returned to the pitch after recovering from injury and immediately scored a goal.
Hard work
The young player didn't hide his satisfaction at signing his first professional contract with the Reymont club. He also expressed how much he's developed during his time with the White Star. "I'm very happy because this is my first contract with such a big club. I've been at Wisła for three years now, and I've been working towards it all this time. I succeeded, and I'm very happy about it. I think I've developed most in terms of awareness, but also in other aspects on the pitch. Each coach has given me something more. I can say that from the time I came here until now, I've developed a lot," says Kowalski.
The Great Comeback
Wiślak recently returned to the pitch after suffering a serious injury and scored in his first match after the break. He assessed the support from the club and outlined his goals for the spring season. "The support from the club was great. I had four physiotherapists taking care of me, which allowed me to return to training and the pitch without any problems. During the spring season, I would obviously like to get as many minutes as possible, score goals, and help the team escape the relegation zone," concluded the 17-year-old.
Filip, congratulations and good luck!
