Eryk Daczewski with a professional contract

Sixteen-year-old Eryk Daczewski has signed his first professional contract with Wisła Kraków. The defender and captain of the CLJ U-17 team signed a contract valid until June 30, 2026. The agreement includes the option to extend for another season.

Born on December 14, 2007, Eryk Daczewski took his first steps in football with Orzeł Piaski Wielkie Kraków, where he played for the senior and junior youth teams. In 2020, the young defender moved to the Wisła Kraków Football Academy. Daczewski began his career with the White Star playing for the junior teams, and a year later, he made his debut in the Central Junior League (CJL) with the U-15 team. In his first season at this level, he played in every match and scored three times. The previous season brought the young defender his first match for the CLJ U-17 team, where he currently plays, donning the captain's armband. This season, Daczewski has made 24 appearances and scored one goal.

Support and trust

The 16-year-old player expressed his feelings after signing his first professional contract with the White Star. The CLJ U-17 defender also identified his greatest strengths on the pitch and briefly summarized his time at the Wisła Academy so far.

"I feel great. I'm incredibly happy to have the opportunity to sign a professional contract with Wisła Kraków. This moment is truly special for me. I work hard in training for moments like this. When it comes to my greatest strengths on the pitch, I think they are playing in tight spaces and passing the ball. I've been at the club for several years now, and I've developed a lot in that time. I feel like I've made a lot of progress," says Daczewski.

Eryk Daczewski serves as captain of his team. We asked the young defender what this position means to him. The 16-year-old predicts a bright future for his team. "I feel very good as captain. It comes with a lot of responsibility, but it's a huge honor for me to be able to fulfill this role. I'm happy that the guys expressed their trust in me and chose me for this role. I receive their constant support, and I appreciate it very much. I'm convinced that our team will achieve much more in the future," concluded the young defender.

Eryk, congratulations and good luck!
