The CLJ U-19 team is back in training!
The beginning of the second week of 2024 marks the beginning of preparations for the spring round for the Wisła Academy teams. On Monday, players from the CLJ U-19 team, among others, resumed work, and team coach Karol Nędza outlined the plan for the preseason, presenting the squad situation and the sparring partners.
The Wisła Kraków U-19 team unfortunately couldn't call their autumn season a success. They currently find themselves in the relegation zone of the Central Junior League, specifically in 13th place with 17 points. However, coach Karol Nędza's players are looking to the future with great optimism, aiming to achieve a satisfactory result and turn their fortunes around in this competition. On Monday, the hard work resumed, and over the next few weeks, the young Kraków players will be preparing for the upcoming spring round.
The team's coach, Karol Nędza, briefly outlined the plan for the upcoming preseason. "At the beginning of this week, we began the preseason for the second leg of the current season in an in-person format. We kicked off the preparations with motor tests. We will continue to focus primarily on improving the individual skills of our players in their respective positions. The U-19 team is characterized by a significant turnover of players between teams, so the working model we have adopted is much more focused on individual activities," the coach said.
The coach of Wisła's oldest team, playing in the Central Junior League, revealed that new players will be participating with the team in the initial phase of pre-season training. The coach also outlined the current health situation within his team. "Two trial players will be participating in training with us this week. Unfortunately, Dominik Maśnica will not be on the pitch anytime soon, as he underwent cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery. Kajetan Świętochowski and Yehor Khromykh are recovering from their surgeries. Adam Pieniądz is undergoing rehabilitation after suffering a serious leg fracture," the coach explained.
The CLJ U-19 team will play several friendly matches in the coming weeks. Coach Karol Nędza's team's first opponent will be Hutnik Kraków, whom they will face this coming Saturday. In addition, the young Wisła players will also play the senior team of BKS Hal-Mont Bochnia, then on the same day against MSK Żylina (Slovakia) and Stal Rzeszów, and later against FC Wrocław Academy, the second team of the White Star, and Banik Ostrava (Czech Republic).
