Dawid Gap signs professional contract
Another young player to sign a professional contract with Wisła Kraków is Dawid Gap. The 17-year-old winger signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2026.
Dawid Gap was born on November 9, 2006. He began his football career at Górnik Złotoryja, where he played for the youth teams. The next stage in his career was at Zagłębie Lubin, where he played from 2017 to 2023, playing for the CLJ U-15 and U-17 teams, among others. He spent the spring of the previous season on loan at Lechia Gdańsk, before later joining the club from Reymont. The 17-year-old, who wore the White Star for the CLJ U-19, scored six goals in 13 matches. His solid performances did not escape the attention of the reserve team's coaching staff, earning him the right to play in the JAKO IV League, making his debut at that level in an away match against Lubań Maniowy.
Great excitement
The player shared his feelings about signing the contract and spoke about his personal development. "I'm happy and very excited. I feel like I've achieved what I've always strived for. During my time at Wisła so far, I've developed a lot as an individual, scored several goals, and managed to make my debut for the reserve team," he says.
Towards the goal
The 17-year-old also addressed the U-19 team's situation and outlined his goals for the spring season. "I also believe that as a team, we're trying to improve. We started off poorly, but we've recently picked up a few points. I think that if we add character and consistent defense to our game, we'll achieve our goal. In the spring season, I'd like to help the U-19 team stay at the CLJ level, but also get the chance to play more matches at the fourth division level," concluded Gap.
Dawid, congratulations and good luck!
