The U-19 team is starting preparations

The U-19 team has also begun their preparation period for league play. Coach Karol Nędza's players, like their older and younger counterparts, held their first training session on Tuesday, January 7th, and have another intense few weeks ahead of them, during which they will focus on honing their form. Wisła's players will also face challenging friendly matches during this time.

The first two days for the U-19 team were dedicated to fitness testing and anthropometric measurements. Introductory training sessions, mostly conducted on the pitch, are scheduled for Thursday and Friday. The opening week will conclude with a friendly against Ruch Chorzów on Saturday.

In addition to the match against Chorzów, Wisła will face seven friendly matches, giving them the opportunity to test their progress. Karol Nędza's players will face Banik Ostrava, FC Wrocław Academy, OH Leuven, MFK Karviná, Śląsk Wrocław, and Sandecja Nowy Sącz.

The U-19 team has undergone significant personnel changes, with six players currently participating in training with the team led by coach Aleksander Mikhailov. Maciej Jania, Jakub Nowiński, Eryk Daczewski, Dominik Maśnica, and Kacper Symula, among others, are struggling with health issues, preventing them from training with the team. In recent days, five players from the U-17 team have been transferred to the senior team to fill the gap. Among them are Mateusz Maszewski, Filip Michałowski, Mateusz Kania, Milan Olej, and Jakub Czubernat.

Changes also affected the coaching staff. Szymon Kołodziejczuk was appointed goalkeeping coach, as he was with the U-17 team.

All training sessions with the U-19 team will be held in Myślenice, and the White Star players will face off in their first league match in the second part of the season on the weekend of March 1-2.
