To Kraków with one point: Zagłębie 1:1 Wisła

After Wisła's historic Polish Cup victory, the league clash in Sosnowiec followed. The White Star faced local side Zagłębie and shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Angel Rodado scored a goal in stoppage time.

It was an even start to the match in Sosnowiec, until Wisła launched a counterattack. Angel Rodado aimed the ball towards goal and it found the back of the net, but the referee ruled it offside. Wisła continued to attack. In the 20th minute, the White Star had a perfect opportunity to take the lead. Sobczak found his place in the penalty area, had a clear shot, but unfortunately, he missed. The minutes that followed brought more chances to score. Angel Baena crossed to Jesus Alfaro, who fired the ball over the crossbar. With Wisła just shy of scoring, Maksymilian Rozwandowicz capitalized on a moment of distraction and fired a confident shot on target, giving his team the lead. Just before halftime, Joseph Colley opted for a header from a corner. He was slightly off target.

The second half is full of hope

At halftime, coach Albert Rudé made one change. Sapała came on for Carbó. The pattern of play remained unchanged. Wisła continued to dominate the pitch. However, they still lacked effectiveness. In the 58th minute, the referee, after a VAR review, issued a second yellow card, resulting in a red for Polarus. From then on, Zagłębie played with ten men. In the 71st minute, Goku shot towards goal, but Dominik Jończy was on the ball.

The final minutes of the match were filled with excitement. Rodado's header equalized Wisła! In the 94th minute, after a foul on Goku in the penalty area, Wisła were awarded a penalty and had a chance to take the lead. Sobczak prepared to shoot, but the ball sailed over the crossbar. Wisła returns to Kraków with just one point.
