Valuable lessons learned. Summary of the Academy's junior teams' clashes.

We've had another exciting league clash with the younger teams of the Wisła Academy. Last weekend, we witnessed the young Wisła players clash with Kabel Kraków, Cracovia, Unia Oświęcim, and Dunajec Nowy Sącz. All matches were full of genuine sporting excitement and displays of footballing skill.

D1 Youth Regional League Kraków


The U-12 team faced a tough match this time, facing Kabel Kraków on home soil. The match was fierce, with both sides consistently searching for scoring opportunities, but ultimately, neither team was able to find the back of the net. The two teams were forced to share the points, drawing 0-0. Wisła currently sits in fifth place in the table with 16 points.

The young Wisła players playing in the provincial league will certainly be eager to forget the past round. The White Star players faced Cracovia in a derby match, where they were forced to concede their opponents' superiority. The Reymont team rose to the occasion, attempting to break down the opponents' defense and scoring three goals in the process, but ultimately it was the home team that proved more effective, beating Wisła's goalkeeper six times. With this victory, the Pasy players jumped into the lead, displacing the young White Star players. Miłosz Bąk scored twice in the match, and Marcel Tondera added another.

The U-14s' match against Unia Oświęcim ended in a draw. The Kraków team opened the scoring in the 6th minute with a Jakub Juszczak shot, but the visitors responded with a goal a few dozen seconds later. However, that wasn't the end of it, as in the 12th minute, the Oświęcim team again gave Wisła the run of their money, resulting in the first half ending with the visitors leading. After the break, the visitors had to wait a while for more shots. Finally, the hosts managed to secure a draw, and the first goal scorer again got on the scoresheet in the 74th minute. With 23 points, the Reymont team remains top of the table.

B1 Junior Lesser Poland League U-16

The U-16s put in a great performance in their league clash with Dunajec Nowy Sącz. Coach Mickael Wolski's side took a three-goal lead after just 30 minutes thanks to an own goal by the visiting team, as well as shots from Alan Bąk and Tomasz Durlak. After the break, the Kraków team capped their strong performance with a goal from Jan Szczepaniak. The opposition continually struggled to fend off the White Star's attacks and find the back of the net, but it was the home side that prevailed, ultimately securing all three points with a 4-0 victory. Wisła Kraków, with 18 points, sits in 7th place in the table.
