Socios Wisła members donate one million PLN for the construction of a sports field!

In a vote that concluded today, Socios Wisła members decided to allocate over PLN 600,000 towards the goal of building a pitch on the TS Wisła grounds for the youngest Wisła academy players. Additionally, PLN 395,958.33 of funds previously reserved for this purpose will be released. This brings the total amount of support for this project to PLN 1 million.

In September 2019, the TS Wisła Kraków association secured a PLN 1,003,600.00 grant for the construction of a pitch from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. The investment cost was estimated at PLN 2,000,000. Socios members decided to contribute the remaining funds. The planned pitch will measure 70 m x 55 m and meet all the requirements for junior competitions. The facility is scheduled to open in July 2024.

Thanks to the investment, the Wisła Kraków SA Football Academy will gain a new training facility at Reymonta Street. The artificial turf pitch will allow the Football Academy to host classes for its youngest players.

"The primary goal of our Association is to help build strong pillars for the club. The moment has come for us to achieve the goal we started in 2019. We are convinced that this investment is the right one. The new pitch will improve training conditions for Wisła's youngest players and increase comfort for parents. The savings that our investment will generate for the football club are also significant. We are pleased that, thanks to the agreement between the management of TS Wisła Kraków SA and the management of the Wisła Kraków Sports Society, we have managed to develop rules for the operation and joint use of the planned facility by both entities," says Piotr Leśkiewicz, President of Socios Wisła Kraków.

This time, they have ensured the development of future generations of footballers, who will be able to hone their skills on a modern pitch. Perhaps this facility will produce a new Kazimierz Kmiecik. The Socios Wisła Association has been supporting the club for five years. Currently, the organization comprises 2,662 Wisła players. We thank all the Association members for their incredible support! Today's donations total PLN 6,304,654.59. Among the goals being pursued are support for the Football Academy, co-financing the construction of the Official Fanshop, renovating the Skillbox, hosting a first-team training camp, and establishing the Wisła brand, whose profits also benefit the club.
