Wisła's certified football school in London has been launched!
The Wisła Kraków Football Academy is emphasizing its activities beyond the borders of our country.
The Wisła Kraków Football Academy is strengthening its presence abroad. We are pleased to announce that a certified White Star football academy, under the name Wisła Kraków London, has been launched in the British capital, where approximately 200 children are currently honing their footballing skills. This is another step towards building the club's brand outside of Poland.
Last September, representatives of Wisła Kraków visited London to closely examine the operation of the local academy. Based on their shared experiences, the decision was made to expand cooperation and establish a certified football academy under the White Star brand.
This new form of cooperation involves the exchange of experiences, allowing London coaches to access the knowledge offered by the Krakow Academy in terms of training and organization. Plans are underway to organize additional joint football training camps in both Poland and England this summer.
Wisła Kraków's first international academy is led by Piotr Warszawa, who previously founded a sports club called Pride Football Academy LTD. Currently, young Wisła players train in six districts of the British capital – Croydon, Mitcham, Sutton, Bromley, Catford, and Streatham. The London academy has approximately 200 children, and its oldest team is the recently formed U-18 team, which competes in the Combined Counties Football League in London. Younger teams play in the Surrey FA Tandridge Youth League.
"We are delighted that our academy in London has been officially certified after many years, confirming our professionalism and commitment to training young talents. This is a huge achievement that would not have been possible without the commitment of many people – players, coaches, and dedicated fans. We focus on providing high-quality training, focusing on the development of both technical skills and sporting values. Thanks to the professionalism of our coaches and the dedication of our players, we are delighted to announce our official partnership with Wisła Kraków, which confirms the high standards of our work. The many passionate people who have dedicated themselves to training young people have made our academy truly unique. It is thanks to them that we can be sure that our talents develop not only as players, but also as people. This shared passion for football and the desire to create a strong foundation for future stars are the foundation of our success. We are especially proud that our players, coaches, and fans are now part of the huge Wisła Kraków family. We support each other not only on the pitch, but also off it, creating a community united by a shared love of football and the club," said Piotr Warszawa, President of the Board. London Academy.
