Billel Omrani joins Wisła Kraków
30-year-old striker Billel Omrani is another winter signing for the White Star. The player has signed a contract with the Krakow club until June 4, 2024.
Billel Omrani was born on June 2, 1993, in Forbach, France. He began his football career at Olympique Marseille, making ten appearances for the first team and scoring one goal.
Seeking regular playing time, he moved to AC-Arles Avignon for a season, where he gained experience, but his best footballing success came with CFR Cluj. He made 209 appearances for the Claret-and-Whites, scoring 47 goals, and with his teammates won the Romanian championship five times. He also played in European competitions, including the Champions League. He boasts 11 goals in Champions League qualifying.
CFR Cluj wasn't the last Romanian club he played for. He later moved to FCSB and then to Petrolul, where he spent the last six months. Billel Omrani is a France youth international (U-17, U-18, and U-19). He also made his official debut for the Algerian senior national team.
