Bąk: We sealed our promotion in the best way

Wisła II Kraków claimed victory on Wednesday, defeating the runner-up in the JAKO IV League, LKS Jawiszowice, at home. This secured promotion just weeks before the end of the spring round, and will begin next season in the Third League. After an incredibly exciting match, Bartosz Bąk, the White Star's coach, spoke about the match itself, the promotion, and his plans for the future.

The Reymont team stormed into the JAKO IV League at the start of the season, and from the very first matches, they distinguished themselves with high skill and exceptionally good form. Proper preparation, commitment, and high-level play allowed Wisła to maintain their top position, and the accumulated points gave the Kraków team a chance to secure promotion before the end of the season. The final step towards achieving this goal was a victory against LKS Jawiszowice, which they achieved. According to the coach, the victorious match against their rivals from Jawiszowice is the culmination of recent months of hard work by the coaching staff and the team. "I think our performance was a good summary of the entire round and the work we put in. Once again this season, we proved that we can play football and create chances, facing a really good team like LKS Jawiszowice. We won this match by a large margin and fully deservedly, which is very important to us. I believe we sealed our promotion in the best way possible," began coach Bartosz Bąk.

Wisła's players faced a real challenge, facing a truly tough opponent. The Jawiszowice team is currently in second place and, apart from Wednesday's clash with Kraków, has not suffered a defeat in the spring round. Wisła managed to break the LKS Jawiszowice players' losing streak, proving the strength and cohesion of their own team. "There are concerns before every match because we analyze our opponents beforehand and are aware of their strengths. As for LKS Jawiszowice, they are a team that hasn't lost in a long time, which is certainly no coincidence. However, I know the value of my team perfectly well; I was calm when I saw my players training the day before the match. I saw that the boys were focused and fully motivated to win, which they showed in the match. They came out on the pitch and did a very good job," he noted.

The match against Jawiszowice proved to be a breakthrough for the White Star team, but it came with considerable pressure. The players approached the match in a very professional manner, keeping their emotions at bay, which also contributed to the victory. "We knew this match could earn us promotion, so putting that thought out of our heads and focusing on the match itself and winning it was no easy task. We succeeded. Had we thought about the third league beforehand? To be honest, I wasn't focused on that. I was completely focused on the team proving their good form in the match against Jawiszowice and securing another victory. I tried to convey that mindset to the staff and players," he continued.

There are still five matches left until the end of the season, and the Kraków team can now play with a cool head and complete peace of mind about their future. In the coming weeks, the team, together with the coaching staff, will continue to work on developing the skills of young players so that they have a chance to showcase their skills in the first team in the future. As the coach emphasizes, the upcoming league matches will also provide an opportunity for players who haven't had many opportunities to showcase their skills to fans so far. "Our main goal remains to develop players and prepare them for the first team. Promotion is therefore one of our goals, but it wasn't our primary one. How do we see the rest of this season? We obviously want to continue achieving our goals, we want to play football and win more matches. We'll see which players we can ultimately use and how the personnel situation pans out. Only then will we make concrete decisions," he said. "I hope this promotion will have a positive impact on the boys' development. We've created the environment and conditions for them to compete at a higher level, but ultimately, it's up to the player to decide how to use it. Importantly, through promotion, we've also shortened the gap between the first and second teams. I believe this will make the transition from second to first team less noticeable for these players," he added.

The team's success is a source of pride for the entire staff, players, and even the club's management. The White Star coach expressed his gratitude to those who contributed to the promotion through their hard work throughout the season. "I would like to thank the many people whose hard work throughout the season contributed to our success. First of all, I would like to thank the club and Academy authorities: President Jarosław Królewski, Academy Director Krzysztof Kołaczyk, and Sporting Director Kiko Ramirez. Special thanks go to coach Mariusz Jop, who set the standards for our work and gave me the opportunity to develop as a coach alongside him. Of course, I cannot fail to mention all the other staff members who, from the beginning of the season, have put in a tremendous amount of work to properly develop the players in various areas and prepare them for the upcoming matches. I would also like to thank my players. Their skills, commitment, determination, hard work, and humility in what they do were, and still are, truly admirable. Finally, I would like to thank my parents and fiancée, whose support I feel throughout," concluded coach Bartosz Bąk.
