3 assists for Kuziemka and a debut for Kawała! 7 Wisła Academy alumni in the match against ŁKS Łódź!
On Saturday, July 26th at 3:00 PM, Wisła Kraków played their first home match of the 2025/26 Betclic 1 League season. The White Star defeated ŁKS Łódź 5-0, with seven Academy alumni playing on the pitch making a significant contribution to this victory!
Kamil Broda was in goal from the first to the last minute, keeping a clean sheet and making several impressive saves. Kacper Duda played the full 90 minutes in midfield, directing the tempo of the game and effectively breaking up opposing attacks.
The real showpiece, however, was Maciej Kuziemka , who provided three assists – for the second and fourth goals by Frederico Duarte, as well as the final goal by Angel Rodado. His performance for the second goal of the match was particularly impressive, first dribbling past his opponent and then perfectly crossing the ball into the penalty area.
Mariusz Kutwa also scored, scoring his goal in the 30th minute with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area. The young defender put in a superb performance – not only scoring a goal but also contributing significantly to the team's clean sheet.
Jakub Krzyżanowski also appeared on the pitch in the second half, replacing the injured Bartosz Jaroch in the 55th minute. Frederico Duarte was substituted in the 77th minute, and another homegrown player, Filip Baniowski , took his place.
Saturday's match was also special for Szymon Kawała , who, after an excellent preparation period with the first team, was included in the match squad and made his debut in the senior Wisła Kraków team.
Bravo gentlemen! It was an evening full of joy, emotion and pure football quality.
