#ARKWIS: Draw snatched in Gdynia
After a close match in Gdynia, Wisła shared the points with Arka Gdynia, drawing 2-2. The goals in Friday's clash were scored by Sobczak and Azacki for the hosts, and Rodado and Duarte for Wisła.
The #ARKWIS match kicked off after a delay due to VAR issues. The match started aggressively, with play primarily taking place in midfield. In the 7th minute, the hosts broke through to Wisła's goal, but a dangerous attack resulted in only a corner kick. Seconds later, it was 1-0 to Arka, with former White Star player Szymon Sobczak scoring the goal.
Wisła tried to respond, but were caught offside. Moments later, Kraków won a corner, but Zwoliński's header went wide. The following minutes saw a more balanced result, but the R22 players continued to search for opportunities from set pieces. However, these failed to open the net.
In the 28th minute, Wisła secured their equalizer thanks to a goal from Angel Rodado. One hundred and twenty seconds later, Rodado had another chance, but this time the Gdynia goalkeeper beat him to it.
The R22 players were not included in the starting lineup for the first half. Marko Poletanović left the field due to injury in the 38th minute, replaced by Kacper Duda. Moments after the substitution, Zwoliński made a slight miscue from close range, hitting the post. The final period saw attacks from the Kraków side, eager to end the half on foot, but their efforts were lacking. The score was 1-1 at halftime.
One after the break
Wisła entered the second half aggressively, eager to score quickly. Mikulec pushed his way to the opposing goal on the left flank, but the players, led by Mariusz Jop, were unable to capitalize on their dynamic moves.
In response, the Yellow-Blues squeezed a goal back in the 53rd minute, with Azacki getting on the scoresheet. Things got tense on the pitch, as neither team seemed willing to give up.
One of the White Star's contracts from the 59th minute could have been better used by Duarte, but he sent the ball into the stands. A goal for the White Star was in the air. The final touch was simply missing in the numerous attacks by the Kraków team. As the match drew to a close, the intensity on the pitch grew, forcing the referee to issue a yellow card. The finale was therefore quite exciting.
The final fifteen minutes of the match in northern Poland saw constant pressure from Reymont's players. Wisła confined their opponents to their own half, preventing them from gaining any leverage. Finally, Frederico Duarte equalized in stoppage time, finding the perfect spot in the penalty area. The Portuguese secured a draw for his team.
