#ARKWIS: To Gdynia for yours

After their trip to Opole and victory over Odra, Wisła will face the proverbial "six points." This time, the R22 players will make a slightly longer trip north to face Arka Gdynia. This will be one of two Friday matches opening the 23rd round of league action.

Wisła Kraków's clash with the current FORTUNA 1 Liga leaders is scheduled for March 8th at 8:30 PM. Arkowcy are currently top of the table after 22 matches. Since the spring season resumed, they have recorded a perfect record of victories, including an away win over second-place GKS Tychy. A record of 13 wins, 4 draws, and 5 losses has earned them 43 points at this stage.

The White Star's latest victory strengthened the Kraków side's position in the playoffs. However, Albert Rudé's team is aiming for a position that guarantees direct promotion and avoids any tiebreakers. With relatively few league matches remaining and the points differences between the teams so slim, every point is crucial.

The trip to Gdynia could prove to be one of the toughest tests of the year. It's worth remembering, however, that Wisła's players have already tasted victory over the Yellow-Blues this season – at the start of the season in August, they defeated our Friday rivals by a decisive 5-1 at the R22, with Angel Rodado scoring a hat-trick.

The disappointing news is that Arka's match against Wisła Kraków will be another away match without fans from Kraków. The club received a letter from the host of Friday's match stating that, based on the position of the Gdynia Municipal Police Headquarters, the Municipal Police Headquarters and Sports Centre in Gdynia, and the Gdynia Sports Centre, it is not possible to accommodate visiting fans in organized groups. The overlapping dates of other sporting events taking place at the Gdynia Sports Centre, and therefore the safety of these events, place special obligations on the organizer to ensure the safety of their participants. This, given the participation of Wisła Kraków fans, does not provide a reasonable basis for their safe conduct.

We are waiting for 3 points, Wisła!
