Wisła Kraków Football Academy receives ministerial funding
The Wisła Kraków Football Academy has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of the Support Program for Football Academies Operating at Ekstraklasa and Men's First League Clubs, announced by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. The academy will receive PLN 1 million in funding. In the first round of the program, over PLN 23 million was allocated, with support being provided to 23 academies across Poland.
The Support Program for Football Academies Operating at Men's Ekstraklasa and First League Clubs is a new program established in 2024 by the Minister of Sport and Tourism, Sławomir Nitras – in addition to the previously announced Support Program for Football Academies Operating at Women's Ekstraklasa and First League Clubs. This year, the ministry will allocate a total of PLN 40 million to this project.
In the first round of the ministerial project, 23 applications were approved, and a total of over PLN 23 million has already been allocated. The Wisła Kraków Football Academy was also among the beneficiaries, receiving PLN 1 million. This is the largest grant of any first-division club.
The main goals of the program are to popularize and promote physical activity among boys and to strengthen the training process for children and youth in the best football clubs in Poland.
